Thurman’s brother to teach yoga in Europe

Dechen Thurman has turned his back on an acting career to become a teacher and healer.

The 38-year-old Harvard graduate, who has acted in over 20 movies, is reportedly teaching yoga in Germany and will take his skills to an intensive retreat in Italy in July (11).

Thurman is also one of the 64-listed teaching faculty of New York’s Jivamukti Yoga School, where he is an advanced certified yoga teacher.

Rajan Zed, the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, tells WENN, “We are happy that after a long path of exploration, Dechen finally found a home in yoga – a liberation powerhouse and a mental and physical discipline, which is rooted in our culture.”
