Actress Tiffany Haddish is backtracking on comments she made about hooking up with Brad Pitt at the Oscars next year (19), insisting she was joking.
The Girls Trip star, who was a first-time presenter at the Academy Awards on Sunday (04Mar18), stumbled upon Pitt in an elevator after the ceremony and claimed he suggested they should date at the Oscars next year.
“He said in one year if he’s still single and I’m single, we gonna do it, so you know what that means…,” the comedienne and actress told Kelly Ripa during an appearance on Live! with Kelly and Ryan’s post-Oscars show on Monday.
However, she now reveals she was not serious and doesn’t have any interest in dating the actor, who has six children with his estranged wife Angelina Jolie.
“So funny to me, it was a Joke but I love how serious you all are,” she wrote on Twitter in response to a TMZ article about her comments. “I want to be number one in a man’s life. He (Pitt) has a lot of kids that would make me what, number 8 or at best baby Mama 2 (sic). And as much as I would love to chitchat with Angie that is not what I want to be talking about.”
