Timothy Olyphant eager to meet Mother’s Day castmembers at premiere

Timothy Olyphant is excited to meet his Mother’s Day co-star Julia Roberts for the first time at the film’s premiere.
The Justified actor is part of the star-studded line-up for the new Garry Marshall movie, and like the director’s other romantic comedies Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve, it features multiple characters with intersecting storylines.
The concept of the film meant many of the ensemble castmembers never crossed paths on set, and Timothy, who has yet to see a finished cut of Mother’s Day, admitted he is particularly eager to introduce himself to superstar Julia.
“I haven’t even met some of the stars!” he laughed on U.S. breakfast show Today. “Hopefully I can make it to the premiere because Julia Roberts is pretty special! I’m hoping to at least say, ‘Hello, apparently we’re in a movie together…!’
“I mean, it’s all strange even when you do meet them, but this one is particularly strange!”
The film also stars Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Jason Sudeikis, and Shay Mitchell, among others.
Meanwhile, Timothy is preparing to start work on a new TV project with another Hollywood A-lister, Drew Barrymore. The actors will portray married real estate agents in upcoming Netflix comedy, Santa Clarita Diet, and although he confessed they have yet to meet, he quipped, “I’m pretty sure our scenes are together…!”
“That’s gonna be fun,” he continued. “We play a married couple and things kinda get dark and twisted. It’s pretty good and it should be special.”
He and Drew will also produce the single-camera show, which is set to premiere in 2017.
