Tom Cruise joins James Corden for pun-filled skit of his movie career

Tom Cruise has taken part in a hilarious spoof of some of his biggest films for James Corden’s London shows.

The TV host has moved his The Late Late Show with James Corden to Britain’s capital city for the week, following multiple terror attacks in the U.K. over the last month.

For Cruise’s appearance on the show, Corden had a river boat decked out in honor of the actor, with “Tom’s Cruise” setting sail on the “River Thames Corden”.

During the sketch, Corden unveiled a series of places dedicated to Cruise’s iconic films, including Eyes Wide Shut, with a room which is strictly “adults only”, and The Last Samurai, which was actually a toilet.

Cruise embraced the concept, and was even seen getting into the spirit of his film Cocktail, and made some drinks for passengers aboard the vessel.

Corden dropped references to films such as Risky Business, Interview with the Vampire and Jerry Maguire, with the duo also singing The Righteous BrothersYou’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin from the movie Top Gun.

“Look, at the end of the day, you can’t do things alone. There is no Maverick without Goose,” said Cruise, referring to the two main characters in Top Gun, to which Corden added: “That’s right. Although Goose does die halfway through the film.”

Meanwhile, London-born Corden has praised the spirit of the U.K. throughout his most recent shows.

In Tuesday’s (06Jun17) episode he said he was glad to be showing off the “stoic British determination to let nothing or anybody stand in our way” in light of Saturday’s attack.

Other local guests include David Beckham and Ed Sheeran, who was seen taking part in Carpool Karaoke in the first London episode.
