Tom Hanks tips big in Boston

Tom Hanks cemented his reputation as one of Hollywood’s nicest celebrities by leaving a huge tip at a Boston, Massachusetts restaurant.
The movie star, who is flying high on the back of his hit Clint Eastwood biopic Sully, charmed the staff at Pier 6 on Monday (26Sep16) when he showed up for lunch without any fanfare, chatted to servers and then left a big tip.
One waiter tells People Tom arrived for a casual lunch with seven pals.
“A woman made an anonymous reservation requesting the private dining room, and next thing you know, Tom Hanks walks in,” the anonymous server tells the magazine.
“He was very friendly and gracious with our staff, and a great tipper.”
It’s not clear how much he left, but the staffer insists it was meaty, revealing Hanks ordered clam chowder and lamb gyros.
