Tom Hanks to star in Henry IV with wife Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson are teaming up to star in a stage adaptation of Henry IV.

Hanks will portray Sir John Falstaff in the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles production, which will serve as his Los Angeles stage debut, but it is unclear what role Wilson will play.

Daniel Sullivan is directing the stage show, which will be a condensed version of Henry IV Parts One and Two. It will begin its run at the Japanese Garden on the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Campus in June and conclude in July (18).

Bosses at The Shakespeare Center and the West LA VA are donating 2,000 tickets for veterans and active duty members of the U.S. military to see the play.

Hanks and Wilson have been involved with The Shakespeare Center for several years and have participated in a number of fundraisers for the organization.

This isn’t the first time the married couple have worked together – they have also appeared in films including Sleepless in Seattle and Larry Crowne.
