Toni Collette battling property dispute

Actress Toni Collette is in the middle of a property drama in her native Australia after allegedly pulling out of a house purchase. The Sixth Sense star failed to complete the sale of a terrace house she and her husband David Galafassi had their eye on in Paddington near Sydney, and the millionaire owner who lost out has dragged the couple to court.
Collette has asked a Supreme Court judge to dismiss the legal action over claims she ran out of funds to buy the property in 2011, but owner Nick Kelly insists the failure to complete had nothing to do with cash, claiming the actress and her husband, who put a substantial deposit down, had just decided to buy another property in nearby Bronte.
He eventually sold his home the following year for a drastically reduced fee.
Kelly is suing Collette and Galafassi for the fall in value of the property.
