Veteran crooner Tony Bennett has been invited to sing at Lady Gaga‘s wedding reception.
The “Poker Face” hitmaker announced last month (Feb15) that her longtime boyfriend, actor Taylor Kinney, had proposed, and the couple is rumoured to be hosting the nuptials in California later this year (15). Now Bennett, who grew close to the pop star while collaborating on several musical projects with her, has revealed he has agreed to serenade the newlyweds after the ceremony.
Bennett tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, “They invited me to do it and, of course, I will… All I know is, knowing Lady Gaga, (the wedding) will be fabulous.” Asked how he feels about the couple’s engagement, he replies, “I love it. She’s marrying a very wonderful man, very talented and very handsome. I think he’s going be highly successful in films. He’s a very nice person.”
