Tony Parker, Eva Longoria Involved in Traffic Incident

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and her boyfriend, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, had a brush with the law Saturday night, when Parker was cited for impeding traffic and failure to produce a Texas driver’s license during a traffic stop, The Associated Press reports.

At 12:45 a.m., after noticing Parker’s car had stopped and was impeding traffic, a bicycle cop approached the vehicle. The officer proceeded to rap on the hood of Parker’s car with his hand, according to a police report, at which time Parker, who was sitting behind the wheel, reacted.

Parker “began screaming in a verbally abusive and demeaning manner,” police told AP. Longoria went on to dismiss the reports as “highly inaccurate.”

Then police say Parker drove away, narrowly missing a pedestrian standing nearby. After being told to stop and get out, Parker produced a French driver’s license, AP reports.

According to the officer who issued the citations, Parker said, “This is all the cops do, just mess with people,” and Longoria shouted from the car: “He’s just a Mexican bike cop. He only wants your autograph.”

Longoria denied making such insensitive comments. “It’s a shame that one officer conducted himself in such an inappropriate and disorderly manner. I never made any sort of racial slurs, let alone made any comments about the officer being Mexican, as a Mexican myself,” Longoria said through her publicist.
