Tori Spelling receives custom Neil Lane ring for seventh wedding anniversary

Actress-turned-reality TV star Tori Spelling has a special new ring on her finger after her husband Dean Mcdermott surprised her with a custom-made diamond piece to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary. The couple marked the big day last week (07May13) and McDermott turned to celebrity jewellery designer Neil Lane to come up with a creation to show the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star just how much she means to him.
Lane tells People.com, “Dean wanted something unusual, different and something very special and celebratory. Every year he gets Tori a ring to honour a renewal of their vows and this year, their seventh year of marriage, was really important to him. He loves her so much and it had to be special.”
The result was an 18 carat gold ring with a spinning ball, featuring over 150 small diamonds – but Lane faced a race against time to have the item ready for the stars’ anniversary.
He says, “I had less than a week to come up with the perfect gift… Tori and Dean are so interconnected and she is, literally and spiritually, the world to him. I wanted to make a sphere, a world all in diamonds.”
And Lane’s hard work paid off: “Tori loved it! Dean is very romantic and sentimental and he totally adores her. The ring represents the significance of their relationship. She rocks his world!”
