Travis Scott keeps vow to design custom T-shirts for high school graduates

Rapper Travis Scott has delighted a group of students in his native Houston, Texas by making good on his offer to design a special T-shirt for their high school graduation.
The Sicko Mode hitmaker was initially contacted by fan Sandra Vasquez back in September (18), when she requested his authorisation to use artwork from his Astroworld album as part of a sweatshirt design for Eisenhower High School’s Class of 2019.
“@trvisXX Can you please grant us permission to use your cover for our senior shirts for our graduating class of 2019 in Houston, Tx @ Eisenhower High School?” she asked via Twitter.
Travis took notice and decided to go one better, suggesting he make a custom T-shirt for the teens instead.
“Ill just design them for u guys and send a box thru how about that (sic)?” he replied.
Vasquez was overjoyed at the proposal, and on Monday (17Dec18), she and her fellow classmates showed off the finished product they had received from the hip-hop star himself.
The tan-coloured T-shirts feature a globe with a smiley face, along with the words, “Wish You Were Here”, printed on the front, while “2019” and “Enjoy The Ride” are plastered across the back. Both phrases are ones used by Travis on his own official merchandise.
He even personalised the gift by having the message, “Sincerely, Travis Scott,” printed in his handwriting.
Vasquez admits she was blown away at Travis’ kind gesture.
“We were shook (shocked),” she told XXLmag.com. “We love Travis and all he does for Houston.”
Travis isn’t new to fashion design – he previously helped to create a T-shirt for his hometown Houston Rockets basketball team to cheer them on in the 2017 NBA Playoffs, while he also has an endorsement deal with sports giant Nike.
