Actor Tristan Wilds has changed his name as he attempts to launch a new career in the music industry. The 90210 star is re-branding himself as Mack Wilds for his new role as a rapper/singer, and reveals the new moniker is based on a childhood nickname.
He tells the New York Daily News, “For now, yeah, Tristan’s gone. Mack has a whole stronger meaning. It’s a name that my grandmother gave me… This is who I am…”
Wilds insists he may even keep his new name if he ever decides to return to acting: “I could see myself being Mack Wilds as an actor.”
The star’s debut album, New York: A Love Story, is released on 30 September (13).
