Tulisa Contostavlos blasts judge for guilty verdict

Disgraced singer Tulisa Contostavlos has blasted a British judge for convicting her of punching a blogger, insisting she is “outraged” by the verdict. The former N-Dubz star was found guilty of assault on Friday (25Jul14) after a court in England heard she punched blogger Vas Morgan in the face when they clashed at Britain’s V Festival last year (13).
She was ordered to hand over $5,134 (£3,020) in compensation, court costs, and a fine for the offence.
The guilty verdict came just days after Contostavlos was sensationally cleared of brokering a cocaine deal when inconsistencies were discovered in a prosecution witness’ evidence, and the singer has now vowed to challenge her assault conviction.
Speaking outside Stratford Magistrates’ Court in London following the verdict on Friday, Contostavlos said, “This has been a rollercoaster week for me. I never wanted any of this. I did not assault Vas Morgan and I am outraged at this decision and I will be appealing.”
She also begged for any witnesses to the V Festival clash, which took place at the site in Chelmsford, England, to come forward and help in her bid to overturn the verdict.
