Tupac ‘death car’ up for sale

The car in which Tupac Shakur was shot and killed in has been put up for sale.
An auction house will not be auctioning off the black BMW, but will be accepting offers above $1.5 million (£1.2 million), editors at TMZ.com report.
Tupac was travelling with Suge Knight, founder of Death Row Records, in Las Vegas on 7 September, 1996, and the pair were on their way from Mike Tyson’s boxing match to a party at Club 662.
Suge, who was behind the wheel, stopped at a traffic lights in the centre of the city, and as he waited for the lights to change, a white Cadillac pulled up alongside them. Shots were fired from the car, and Tupac, who was in the passenger seat, was hit multiple times, with one bullet puncturing his lung.
He died six days later at the age of 25. No-one has ever been convicted for his murder.
The BMW has been restored to its former glory, but TMZ reports indentations from the bullets are still visible on the door panels.
Following Tupac’s murder, the car was impounded by the Las Vegas Police Department, and the car was auctioned off. Despite changing hands several times before finding its most recent owner, the BMW has more than 90,000 miles on the clock.
