Eclipse leads the pack with 12 nods while TV phenomenon Glee comes in second with eight and Taylor Swift lands six – one more than Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows Part 1, Fast Five and Justin Bieber.
In the major movie categories, Fast Five, Faster, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, The Tourist and Unstoppable will compete for the Choice Movie: Action prize; the Harry Potter and Twilight sequels will fight it out for Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy alongside Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Super 8 and X-Men: First Class, and Black Swan, Limitless, The Roommate, Soul Surfer and Water for Elephants have all been nominated for Choice Movie: Drama.
The comedy prize will be claimed by either Bad Teacher, Bridesmaids, Due Date, Little Fockers or The Other Guys, while Easy A, Just Go With It, Life As We Know It, No Strings Attached and Something Borrowed will compete for the Choice Movie: Romantic Comedy award.
The 2011 Teen Choice Awards will take place on 7 August (11).
