Tyrese Gibson Gets $5 Million Loan From Will Smith to Help Pay Legal Fees

Tyrese Gibson has heaped praise on Will Smith and his wife Jada for lending the singer/actor $5 million to help keep him “afloat” during his ongoing custody battle.

The Fate of the Furious star has been fighting for access to his 10-year-old daughter Shayla ever since his ex-wife Norma accused him of spanking their little girl so hard over the summer (17), she was unable to sit down.

Norma Gibson initially won a temporary restraining order against Tyrese, which prevented him for seeing his kid for two months, and she is now seeking to make it permanent, alleging he subjected her to multiple instances of domestic violence during their two-year marriage, which ended in divorce in 2009.

Tyrese, who has denied Norma’s accusations of violence and insisted he only smacked Shayla once, has been pouring out his emotions in a number of social media videos posted online in between court dates in recent weeks, and in one clip uploaded last week (ends03Nov17), he appeared to break down as he accused Norma of wrecking his career. He also took aim at his rich friends for turning their backs on him during his tough time, which has taken its toll on his bank balance.

However, not everyone has abandoned Tyrese, and on Sunday (05Nov17), he took to Instagram to publicly thank his pals Will and Jada Pinkett Smith for loaning him some much needed funds.

“When we show UP for each-other there’s nothing that can’t be done I repeat nothing,” he captioned a series of photos of himself and Will. “My wife kept the news away from me cause I’ve been on with lawyers all day but our family and our sister Jada-Pinkett Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million dollars to help keep us afloat…”

Tyrese, who wed Samantha Lee earlier this year (17), went on to reveal the superstar couple had advised him to keep his private problems away from social media, and he vowed to take on their words of wisdom, despite telling the world about their generosity.

The 38-year-old continued, “You’ve guys asked me to get off and stay off the Internet now that my daughters legal fees will be paid ! will listen….. The Smiths’s and their whole family has always shown up for The Gibson’s… (sic)”.

“Uncle Will you’re an uncle for real…..,” Tyrese added.

The Smiths have not responded to the star’s remarks.
