Una Healy: ‘It’s too soon for a Saturdays reunion’

Una Healy has insisted The Saturdays won’t be reuniting in the near future, because it’s “too soon” for the band’s comeback.

The 36-year-old singer made up one fifth of the British girl group, alongside Mollie King, Frankie Bridge, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes. They went on hiatus four years ago, but as she appeared on U.K. TV show Loose Women on Tuesday (15May18), Una dashed fans’ hopes of a reunion.

“I don’t think the nostalgia will be there at the moment – it’s still too fresh and too soon,” she said.
However, that’s not to say that The Saturdays returning to the music scene won’t be a possibility in the future.

“It’s actually nearly 10 years since we released our first single, so I think maybe in a few years when people are really feeling like going back in time when they come to see our show,” Una suggested.

In the meantime, Una is enjoying catching up with her former bandmates as and when she can.
“It was my husband’s (rugby player Ben Foden) testimonial for being 10 years at his rugby club and Mollie was there and Frankie was there – it was lovely to catch up,” she smiled.
