Una Healy’s ‘life turned upside down’ after marriage split

Una Healy has spoken about her split from husband Ben Foden for the first time, admitting the break-up had turned her “life upside down”.

The former The Saturdays singer confirmed reports suggesting she had separated from rugby player Foden in late July (18), amid reports of his infidelity. And now Una, who shares daughter Aoife, six, and son Tadhg, three, with Ben, has opened up about the end of the relationship for the first time telling Hello! magazine: “My life has been turned upside down and I’m trying to figure it out. I’m taking each day as it comes and just being there for my children.”

The 36-year-old star, who had been poised to relocate to the U.S. with Ben and their children as he prepared to start playing for Rugby United New York (RUNY), added that her priority is now her children.

“I never feel lonely or alone,” she said. “They’re lovely company and have brought joy into my life. The most important job for me is to be the best parent I can and to provide and look after them. They’re my priority.

“You have to be strong for your children as they’re dependent on you. But with that responsibility comes great satisfaction. I’m looking forward to all the milestones in their lives that we’ll share.”

Una and Ben wed in her native Ireland in 2012, after dating for four years. News of their split came just weeks after Una revealed she and Ben had heated arguments, and that their marriage wasn’t easy.

“If there’s challenges we get through them together. There’s children involved now and we just want them to be happy. We don’t argue often but when we do they’re heated, and Aoife hates it. She tells us off,” she told The Sun.
