Usain Bolt appeals for return of stolen running shoes

Olympian Usain Bolt has appealed for the return of a pair of his signed running shoes which were stolen in England last month (Apr14). The orange Puma sneakers, which were framed alongside a snap of the Jamaican sprinter wearing them after setting a new world record in 2009, were taken during a break-in at a commercial property in Croydon.
The collector’s item is believed to be worth $32,000 (£20,000) and police have urged anybody with any information to get in touch.
Now Bolt, the world’s fastest man, has joined calls for their return.
Taking to Twitter.com earlier this week (begs05May14), he wrote, “I know u love me but please why u had to go stealing that signed Usain Bolt spikes in Croydon, England… I know u going to return it. Right (sic)?
“All you had to do was just ask me for one. No need to go stealing the things. Come on now.”
He then uploaded a photo of him signing a new pair of sporty footwear, adding, “Only natural I sign sum spikes after one of my overly excited fan stole that one. FedEx straight to London later. (sic)”
