Vanessa Kirby planning marathon following Mission: Impossible training

Vanessa Kirby’s intense training for Mission: Impossible – Fallout has left her wanting more, so she’s planning on running a marathon.

The English actress shot to fame playing Princess Margaret on award-winning Netflix series The Crown, and she’s fast becoming hot Hollywood property, bagging roles in the upcoming Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs and Shaw and biographical drama Gareth Jones.

She’ll also soon be seen opposite Tom Cruise in the latest Mission: Impossible instalment, though getting fit for the role of the White Widow was a shock to Vanessa’s system.

“Going from filming The Crown to Mission: Impossible was like night and day. Literally – I was doing night shoots in Paris for Mission: Impossible and coming back and shooting The Crown during the day. And playing a completely different character. It was quite weird. Even having my own hair was surreal!” she exclaimed, according to Shape.com.

“Also, I’d never done stunts before. I worked really hard with a trainer so I could run in a scene with Tom without vomiting! The first thing we did was go for a jog, and I was so out of breath I nearly had a heart attack. I didn’t realise how unfit I was. Now I feel strong and I really like running. I’m even planning to run a marathon. Who would have thought that would happen?”

The film hits cinemas from 25 July (18).
