Vanilla Ice apologises for foulmouthed rant after missing plane

Vanilla Ice has apologised for losing his cool after missing his flight at an Atlanta, Georgia airport.
The Ice Ice Baby star was heading to a concert in Nebraska, but found himself abandoned at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport after missing his Delta Airlines flight.
In video footage obtained by TMZ.com, the star, real name Robert Van Winkle, became enraged after finding out he wouldn’t be allowed on the plane, exclaiming to an employee, “I’m sitting right here. No one has called me. No one said final call, nothing. I’ve been right there. There’s a fricking line right here. I’m thinking all these people are in line to board, I’m behind them right there.”
As the member of staff tried to respond, things became a little heated as Ice raised his voice as he said again: ‘No one called my name, no one said anything. You can’t cut me off this flight… no one called a final call, nothing.”
And when a fellow traveller tried to cool the situation by telling him he should have been monitoring the screens to see when his flight would be taking off, it only made the rapper even more irate.
“Hey I don’t need any information from you man,” the rapper hit back. “Shut your f**kin’ mouth… I don’t need anything from you. You don’t work here. Shut up!”
Ice has since taken to Twitter to post an apology, blaming his reaction on drinking too much coffee and tiredness: “Sorry for offending anybody. Over caffeinated and no sleep. Wrong action but my point was right 🙂 now let’s keep dancing.”
Days before the incident Ice noted on Twitter tour life was not all it was cracked up to be, “I am the airport zombie today. Too much travel not enough sleep. Rockstar lifestyle is not as glamorous as people think. LOL”, he posted.
Ice later told TMZ that he arrived to the airport an hour early and sat near the ticket counter, but when he looked up, the gateway door was closed.
The rapper is currently touring the U.S. as part of the 28-city I Love the 90s Tour alongside Salt-N-Pepa, Coolio, All-4-One, Biz Markie, Color Me Badd, Kool Moe Dee, Kid ‘n Play, Rob Base, Tone Loc, and Young MC. The tour continues until December.
