Victor Ortiz sued over concert brawl

Boxer-turned-actor Victor Ortiz has been hit with a lawsuit by the man he allegedly beat up during a Kenny Chesney concert this summer (15).
The Expendables star was arrested at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California in July (15), when he clashed with a fellow gig-goer. He was charged with misdemeanour assault and battery, but Ortiz pleaded not guilty during a court appearance in October (15).
Now the man who was involved in the altercation, whose name has not been released, has served Ortiz with a lawsuit, claiming the boxer and his brother were purposefully looking to start a fight, and a Rose Bowl security guard allegedly urged them on, according to TMZ.com.
In the papers obtained by the website’s editors, the accuser claims Ortiz and his brother punched him until he was unconscious for no reason, and alleges the security guard recorded the incident on his cell phone.
The man also named the City of Pasadena in the lawsuit.
However, Ortiz’s lawyer Mark Davis tells TMZ the accuser has no case, since he was inebriated at the time of the incident, and drunkenly tried to pick a fight with the Ortiz brothers before throwing the first punch.
Davis adds, “When the facts are out Victor will win both the civil and criminal case.”
