Victoria Beckham contemplating menswear and fragrance lines

Victoria Beckham is planning to expand her empire by revisiting the fragrance market and adding menswear and children’s collections to her own-name brand.

The former Spice Girls star-turned-designer has been climbing the ranks of the fashion industry ever since launching her eponymous womenswear label in 2008.

She has gone on to add accessories and a beauty range with Estee Lauder to the company, but, following a cash injection from NEO Investment Partners officials last year (17) and the hiring of chairman Ralph Toledano and chief executive officer Paolo Riva, she is now looking to branch out further.

“(I want) a skincare line that is quite scientific…, a fragrance at some point, and more make-up, menswear and children’s clothes,” she said at the Forbes Women’s Summit in New York on Tuesday (19Jun18), according to WWD. “I don’t want to copy anything that anyone is doing. I want to be true to me and very organic.”

Victoria has already smelled success in the fragrance world, after releasing a series of scents in collaboration with her husband, retired soccer ace David, for their Intimately Beckham range with perfume giant Coty.

During the forum discussion, Beckham also addressed her upcoming collection with sportswear giant Reebok, explaining she wanted to create garments that would be suitable for training, but also look good outside of the gym.

“More and more I do love a good trainer (sneaker) but not just to work out but for fashion as well. I love to mix sportswear with ready-to-wear,” smiled the mother-of-four, who takes time each morning to exercise. “A trainer with a really cool loose-fitting track suit pants and an oversize men’s-inspired gabardine coat.”
