Vin Diesel took to social media to praise his Fast & Furious co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on his birthday on Tuesday (02May17), months after the pair reportedly fell out on set.

The pair hit headlines during the filming of The Fate of the Furious, when the wrestler-turned-actor called out one of his “candy a**” male co-stars for alleged unprofessional behavior.

Vin’s name was instantly thrown into the ring, and the pair did little to quash feud rumors when movie bosses reportedly had to separate them when they hit the promotional trail for the new film.

However, on Tuesday Vin took to Instagram to wish Johnson a happy 45th birthday.

“To look back at what we have accomplished,” he wrote. “Shoulder to shoulder, against impossible odds. Proud… Happy Birthday Hobbs (Johnson’s character)…”

Last month (Apr17), insiders revealed the two action stars had met up on numerous occasions in an effort to patch up their differences, and both will be back for the ninth film in the popular action franchise.

The alleged feud didn’t hurt takings for the film as it broke box office records after being released worldwide last month (Mar17). It has since surpassed $1 billion globally and on Tuesday, Vin paid tribute to the fans who helped the film reach the milestone.

“Thank you all for the support and love you have shown this franchise… 1 billion doesn’t come without sacrifice and commitment…,” he wrote.
