Vinnie Jones brands Britain out of order

Movie hardman Vinnie Jones has launched a savage rant at his native U.K., branding it depressing and past its sell-by date. The soccer-star-turned-actor moved to Los Angeles to pursue a Hollywood career following his big screen debut in 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and he has since scored a number of film roles.
Now Jones is adamant his future lies in the U.S. as a recent return trip to Britain left him feeling the country has changed beyond recognition.
He tells Radio Times magazine, “To me, England is past its sell-by date. There is nothing to go back to. It’s not the country I grew up in. It’s a European country now. If someone blindfolded you and put you on a plane and you landed at Heathrow and they took it off, you wouldn’t have a clue where you were…
“The weather in England is depressing. People say you can get bored of the sunshine in L.A. No, you can’t. I play golf six days a week.”
