Visa issues force French rap duo PNL to miss out on Coachella

Visa issues have forced French rap duo Pnl to cancel their set again at Coachella.
Brothers Tarik and Nabil Andrieu were expected to make their live debut in America on 16 April (17), as part of the 2017 Coachella line-up, but the MCs had to change their plans after Tarik had his application for a work visa rejected.
His brother Nabil had his visa approved without issue, and was already in California when they had no choice but to axe their performance, breaking the news to fans on Facebook.
However, Tarik’s visa was refused again on Tuesday (18Apr17), meaning their set on Sunday (23Apr17) – part of the second weekend of the two-weekend festival – was also cancelled, Los Angeles Times reports.
PNL wanted to play from France and broadcast live to the festival in Indio, but their request was reportedly refused by festival organisers.
The brothers grew up in Paris to immigrant parents, and their group name stands for Peace N’ Loves (which translates to peace and money).
Despite ongoing visa issues, which Tarik has hinted has to do with President Donald Trump’s controversial Muslim travel ban, PNL are undeterred from making their debut in America.
“(This) is not what will stop us,” they previously said in a statement on Facebook. “On the contrary it gives us even more ambition.”
