White wins fifth Emmy at Creative Arts awards show

The Golden Girls favourite has enjoyed a huge career resurgence over the last 12 months, and was the subject of a Facebook.com campaign to get her to front the hit U.S. comedy sketch show.

And her fans’ dedication was worth it – White won the prize for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her appearance on the show in May (10).

Another host who went home a winner on Saturday was Neil Patrick Harris – he picked up trophies for his work at the 63rd Annual Tony Awards last June (09), as well as for his guest role on Glee.

Anne Hathaway’s vocal talents won her the award for Voice-Over Performance for her cameo on The Simpsons, and John Lithgow was the recipient of the honour for Guest Actor in a Drama Series for Dexter.

Brit cook Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution show won the Reality Programme prize.

The Creative Arts Emmys is a prelude to the Primetime Emmys, which will take place on 29 August (10), and recognises technical achievements behind the camera, as well awarding guest stars.
