Will Ferrell & John C. Reilly Team Up For ‘Sherlock Holmes’ Comedy

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are to team up on the big screen again for a hilarious new take on the Sherlock Holmes stories.

Ferrell will play Holmes and his Step Brothers co-star Reilly will take on the role of the literary sleuth’s sidekick Dr. John Watson in the comedy Holmes & Watson.

Etan Cohen, who directed Ferrell in the comedy Get Hard, will direct from his own script.

Holmes and Watson have previously been played on the big screen by Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law, John Barrymore and Roland Young, and Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, while Michael Caine and Sir Ben Kingsley took on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s characters in the 1988 comedy Without a Clue.
