Willie Nelson to play festival date after cancellation

Country music legend Willie Nelson has rejoined the bill of an upcoming music festival in Nashville, Tennessee after previously axing the date due to a shoulder injury. The veteran singer cancelled three shows, in Indiana, Michigan and Illinois, after doctors ordered him to rest up, and he also pulled out of his slot at the Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Nashville on Saturday (28Sep13).
However, the On the Road Again hitmaker has made a good recovery, and has now rejoined the festival’s line-up, and he also invited musician Warren Haynes to play during the show.
A statement from organisers reads, “Late breaking news from the Southern Ground Music & Food Festival! Willie Nelson & Family have confirmed with Southern Ground Music & Food Festival organisers that they will in fact perform on Saturday, September 28th and have invited their friend Warren Haynes to sit-in on a couple songs.”
