Woody Harrelson will play 1960s drug icon Timothy Leary in a new series.
The Most Dangerous Man in America will be based on Bill Minutaglio and Steven L. Davis’ acclaimed book of the same name, which follows Leary’s prison escape and his time as an international fugitive in the early 1970s.
President Richard Nixon spent millions trying to track down Leary, the hero of America’s counterculture movement and a leading advocate for the benefits of psychedelic drugs.
Harrelson will also produce the series.
