Younger star Dan Amboyer has come out after revealing he’s married to long-term boyfriend Eric P. Berger.
The 31-year-old actor, who played the fiance of Hilary Duff’s character Thad Steadman in the hit TV show, wed Berger in front of friends and family in New York on Saturday (07Oct17).
Speaking about his decision to go public with his homosexuality, Dan told People magazine that he has been inspired by others including his Younger co-star Nico Tortorella, who describes himself as “sexually fluid” and has been dating fitness entrepreneur Bethany Meyers for 11 years, who identifies as a lesbian.
“There are some actors out there now who just keep it as an unspoken aspect of their life and never discuss it in public. But then there are men like Matt Bomer and Zachary Quinto,” Dan explained. “I look up to them and see how them being so open affected other people and the country’s perception of gay people. And Nico Tortorella, who is also on Younger, has inspired me by the way he’s become such an advocate for sexual fluidity. I think the more open actors can be the less stigma there will be attached, which will be a positive thing moving forward.”
