Zachary Levi ‘keeping up Shazam! body’ ahead of sequel

Zachary Levi is maintaining his enviable physique ahead of the upcoming Shazam! sequel.
The 38-year-old starred as the eponymous DC Comics superhero in the flick, and the actor told Entertainment Tonight at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Saturday (15Jun19) that working on the film inspired him to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
“I’m certainly trying to keep up the Shazam! body. I’ve been pretty diligent,” he shared. “I’ve been eating well and working out consistently ever since I started this whole journey, and yeah, I feel good.”
Zachary, who also starred as Warriors Three member Fandral in two of Marvel’s Thor movies, went on to tease fans that the sequel is scheduled to begin filming soon, adding: “We will get more Shazam!, I think that’s the plan. They’re writing the sequel – or are in the process of writing the sequel – right now, and hopefully we’ll start shooting that not too long from now.”
And although he remained coy about revealing any further details, he insisted he’ll definitely reprise his role because the last movie “brought people joy”.
“I think one of the coolest things about the movie Shazam!… it legitimately brought people joy,” he enthused. “If that’s all I ever do in this world, I will be so grateful and so stoked.”
