Zendaya warns fans about controversial new show

Zendaya has urged her more sensitive fans to give her new HBO drama a pass if it’s too tough for them to watch.

Euphoria, which takes a graphic look at the troubles of teens navigating sex, drugs, trauma and the evils of social media, debuted in America on Sunday (June 16, 2019) to mixed reviews, and the show’s star admits the series isn’t for everyone.

The Greatest Showman star took to Instagram just before the drama aired to warn fans some scenes might be tough to watch.

“It’s a raw and honest portrayal of addiction, anxiety, and the difficulties of navigating life today,” she wrote. “There are scenes that are graphic, hard to watch and can be triggering. Please only watch if you feel you can handle it. Do what’s best for you.”

“I will still love you and feel your support.”
