We recently learned that there would be a second season of American Horror Story; today we found out that season 2 will look a LOT different from season 1.

Following Wednesday night’s season 1 finale — which, by the way, set a ratings record for the FX series — creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk announced that the sophomore season will move to a new ‘haunted’ location. Ditto for the third season, and so on.
Said Murphy: “Next year of the show will be a different haunting. The next season of the show will be a brand-new home or building to haunt.”
Murphy said that key cast members have not ruled out a return to the series in its new anthology, but they would likely play different characters or different iterations of their season 1 characters.
