Linda Christian plays the wife of an American attorney in this psychological thriller. When her husband is found murdered, a painter (Eric Schneider) who is accused of the crime refuses to defend himself. A police inspector who believes the man is innocent investigates to find the truth. Flashbacks show the wife telling the police the painter murdered the attorney so he could marry the woman. The title refers to the estimated time of the victim's death.
