As young girls audition for an acting role during this film, they reveal some of the most vulnerable aspects of their youthful personalities. Each youngster has chosen her own audition material in hopes of impressing the adults in charge of casting. Beautiful poems and dramatic monologues are read with varying degrees of emotion and pathos. This film received partial funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
