Synopsis
As helmed by documentarist Jason Berry, this biographical opus profiles professional mountain biker Chris Eatough, winner of the '24 Hour Solo World Champion' title on six occasions (at the time of this film's production). Berry observes Eatough as he battles his way from race to race, in an attempt to claim a seventh title; the film intercuts on-location footage of Eatough's various matches (and preparation, with the assist of a "support crew") with commentary from various mountain biking pioneers. It all culminates with the championship race, a grueling 24-hour death match that witnesses Eatough and Aussie Craig Gordon going head-to-head and nearly driving one another beyond the brink of sanity and physical well-being (the race ended with one rider being shuttled off to the hospital).
