A Bullet in the Head (1990)

A Bullet in the Head (1990)

Synopsis

Using no dialogue whatsoever, this feature follows the adventures of a soldier who has been shot and retains a bullet in his skull. His goal is to avoid getting shot thereafter. Unfortunately, though he is a good-hearted and decent fellow, he persists in being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and frequently winds up identified as an enemy soldier by both sides. He rescues and is rescued by a man who has left his home to find medicine for his very sick wife and gotten drafted. Meanwhile, the two sides in the war aggressively butcher one another. This Canadian festival film should not be confused with John Woo's infinitely more commercial movie with the same title.
