Synopsis:
Set in 1962, the true story of an orphaned newborn seal who is nursed back to health by the Whitney family of Rockport, Maine. In winter, when the local harbor freezes over and the waters become dangerous, the Whitneys place Andre in the Boston Aquarium. The plan is to release him in the spring to embark on an ocean journey heading south with the other seals, but to everyone's surprise the loyal creature makes the 400-mile trek back to Maine.
