Star Wars actor David Prowse has been hospitalized after losing the use of his legs, BBC News reports. The actor suffered from paralysis in his arms after being struck with a mystery illness. His spokesman Phil Day told BBC News on Tuesday that the actor was "looking very gaunt and very thin. Things aren't looking too good." Prowse was taken on Friday to Croydon Hospital, outside of London,, and had been confined to a bed after the actor told his agent he could not move. Doctors found an abscess at the base of the actor's spine close to the vertebrae, which might be causing the problems. Day added that doctors were taking samples to find out what the abscess is made of before they can make a decision on what to do next.
