Synopsis
This drama was based on the true story of the rise, fall, and rebirth of one of the most influential figures in Finnish pop music. Rauli "Badding" Somerjoki (Janne Reinikainen) was one of Finland's best-known rock singers during the 1970s, but with the dawn of the 1980s, he's developed a severe case of stage fright and an addiction to alcohol. Badding is talked into staging a major comeback show, but when faced with the prospect of facing a sold-out arena for the first time in years, Badding panics and wonders if he's up to playing the gig. Ossi (Peter Franzen), an old friend, offers to give Rauli a ride to the show and help him keep his courage up, but there's a catch -- these days, Ossi is working as a journalist, and he wants an exclusive interview with the elusive Badding about how he rose to stardom and then returned to obscurity.
