Rauli "Badding" Somerjoki (Janne Reinikainen) was one of Finland's best-known rock singers during the 1970s, but with the dawn of the 1980s, he's developed a severe case of stage fright and an addiction to alcohol. Badding is talked into staging a major comeback show, but when faced with the prospect of facing a sold-out arena for the first time in years, Badding panics and wonders if he's up to playing the gig. Ossi (Peter Franzen), an old friend, offers to give Rauli a ride to the show and help him keep his courage up, but there's a catch -- these days, Ossi is working as a journalist, and he wants an exclusive interview with the elusive Badding about how he rose to stardom and then returned to obscurity.
