Synopsis

Jacques (Jacques Villeret) is a soldier who is called away from his military leave in order to take part in a secret mission. It couldn't have come at a worse time, as he was just about to propose to his girlfriend. With considerable cunning and guile, this dull-seeming super-soldier gets the whole operation moved. Now ensconced in her hotel, he can keep an eye on his girlfriend and do his job at the same time. When it begins to seem that she will fall for a tennis champion who has been making goo-goo eyes at her, he tries every trick in the book to keep them apart. Alas, not only does he fail to keep his girlfriend, but he gets into trouble with the military.
