Carnage (1985)

Carnage (1985)

Synopsis

This film is the less-than-triumphant return of Long Island drive-in king Andy Milligan, who wrote, produced, directed, shot, and probably catered this haunted-house foolishness. The plot involves newlyweds who find their wedded bliss disrupted by the worrisome ghosts of the couple who committed suicide in the same house years ago -- ghosts who seem to be really annoyed by poor acting, since they see fit to fling all manner of deadly objects at any of Milligan's friends who wander in front of the camera. As threadbare as this production appears, this is nevertheless a far more sophisticated project than Milligan's earlier works (e.g. The Rats Are Coming! The Werewolves Are Here!) and doesn't skimp on the voracious gore -- most notably in the deaths of two pesky burglars and the ghosts' prompt dispatching of a would-be exorcist.
