Synopsis
Zack Stratis directs this quirky documentary/mockumentary/musical hybrid about the clash between his steadfastly traditional Greek-American family and his own sexuality. The film opens with Statis seeking advice from his siblings as to what his film should be about. His self-obsessed sister Evmorphia thinks that the film should be about her. His brother Stahi, on the other hand, thinks that the film should be framed as a Greek tragedy. Zack uses the occasion of his parents' 50th wedding anniversary to broach the subject of his homosexuality. His father Gus initially refuses to acknowledge his son's sexuality, but during the ensuing argument, Zack breaks into song. "You're celebrating 50 years of being straight. Why can't I be openly gay?" Soon father and son are debating in song which flag should adorn the family house -- the American, or the rainbow-striped gay flag. This film was screened at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival.

Whitney Houston: Life Could Be Worse!
HOLLYWOOD, June 13, 2000 -- What with all the drug rumors and the occasional botched Oscar appearance, Whitney Houston's life may appear troubled, but -- hey! -- at least her husband'll be out of jail for their anniversary! Yes, this good news coming Monday in Florida where Houston spouse Bobby Brown got slammed with a 75-day jail sentence for parole violations. All right, we admit this doesn't really sound like good news, but that's because we didn't get to the part yet where behind-bars Bobby got credit for 39 days already served! (The King of New Jack Swing's been in the cooler since May 10.)
Anyway, if Monday counted as one day that means he'd have just 35 more to go, which means he'd be out around July 17, which means he'd be out in time to celebrate the eighth anniversary of his blessed union with Houston on July 18!
Kinda makes you tear up, doesn't it?
