Synopsis

When a doctor starts out to do his residency in a posh resort town in the north of Poland, he does not suspect that the local politicos are an unethical, closed group with an eye to protecting the reputation of the well-established gentry using the numerous hunting lodges in the district. The doctor finds out a politician was behind a serious accident, and this, along with other incidents, is kept quiet because the politicos blackmail the doctor. He is still set on fighting them when he begins a relationship with the wife of the town's Deputy Mayor -- not exactly the right move if you'd like to expose the corruption of the spouse and his underlings.
