Synopsis:
When Jack Black and Kyle Gass first appeared in small clubs as the power duo, Tenacious D, their unique blend of humor and rocking guitar riffs were an instant hit. As their popularity and stage act grew, the two friends decided to embark on a worldwide tour to promote the release of their very own feature film, "Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny." For the first couple of weeks on the road, everyone was hopeful as the band performed in front of massive sold-out crowds. But when the movie failed at the box office and was unanimously ripped apart by critics, it seemed that their rock-comedy shtick was beginning to wear thin.
