Doc Hooker's Bunch (1978)

Doc Hooker's Bunch (1978)

Synopsis

Doc Hooker's Bunch is a low-budget western farce about a travelling medicine show. The mission of Doc Hooker and his bunch is to entertain ranchers and cavalry soldiers--thereby anticipating the USO by some sixty years. When business slows down, Hooker and company can always count on a little larceny to fill the coffers. Among the stars of Doc Hooker's Bunch is veteran western sidekick Dub Taylor, and Dub's son Buck Taylor, the latter best known for his recurring role as Newly O'Brien on TV's Gunsmoke. This 88 minute "regional" quickie was not seen on a nationwide basis until sold to television in the mid-1980s.
