Synopsis

N.Y.C.-based actress Candice Meade makes her feature debut as a writer/director/star with the low-budget comedy Don't Get Me Wrong. Shot on 16 mm, the film involves the romantic misadventures of two sisters living in Manhattan. Jackie Johnson (played by director Meade) is a struggling actress who starts up her own business giving relationship advice over the phone. Her sister Carolyn (Robyn Weiss) is a feminist lawyer who finds her life shaken up by romance. Also starring Paul Amodeo, Mark Overton, and Bruno Amato. Don't Get Me Wrong was screened as a work in progress at the 2001 IFP's Independent Feature Film Market.
