Synopsis:
Blackmail, murder, and deception are just a few of the themes at play in End Game, a stylish British thriller about the evil that men do. At the heart of it all is Tom (Daniel Newman), a handsome, stylish rent boy who is kept by George Norris (Mark McGann), a wealthy thug with a posh, art-filled London loft. When he's not using Tom to indulge in sadomasochistic sex -- complete with video camera -- George keeps busy doing bad things to people. For his part, Tom finds himself immersed in a nasty scheme involving cash and drugs, and is protected by Dunston (John Benfield), a corrupted gay cop who is connected to George. Between Dunston and George, Tom starts to approach his breaking point, and seeks some measure of sanity through his friendship with a straight American couple who live in the flat downstairs. One night, after returning to his flat from dinner with the couple, Tom finds George waiting for him in a jealous frenzy. During the ensuing argument, George is accidentally killed. Tom flees to the rolling pastures of Wales in the hopes of finding some peace; however, he soon finds that he cannot escape the chaos and complications that mark his life. End Game was screened at the 2002 Philadelphia Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival.
