Synopsis:

Amy is an eight-year-old Eurasian girl who is mourning the death of her father. When she visits her Vietnamese grandmother she discovers a world of fairy tales, shadow puppets, and a Vietnamese tradition that embraces truth in life as well as death. However, when her grandmother also dies, Amy retreats into her own imagination where fantasy, reality and faith collide in a young girl who never really learned to tell them apart.
